What is Digital Weaving?

Digital weaving enables complex patterns and designs on woven surfaces that would otherwise be impossible or difficult to achieve with a traditional loom. Fabrics are created with computer- controlled looms, also known as jacquard looms. The warp threads in these looms can be lifted individually and controlled by advanced software.

This allows designers to create woven fabrics with intricate patterns and details. Digital weaving has, therefore, found applications in many industries, including textile art production, interior design, and fashion.
